Meet Joya Tynes.
A purpose-led Medicare educator, author, speaker, and community advocate serving Hampton Roads, Virginia.

A guide built on listening first.
Joya is a licensed Medicare professional who came to this work the way many of her clients arrive at it — through caring for the people she loves. That experience shapes everything: the patience, the plain-language explanations, the refusal to rush a decision.
She is the author of Pursuing Purpose (2018), a reflection on purpose, growth, and legacy. She speaks for civic groups, churches, and employers, and she's served on a community board in the Hampton Roads region.
Her work is family-centered and legacy-minded. Whether she's helping a 64-year-old map out their first plan, supporting a caregiver through a parent's transition, or leading an All Things Medicare workshop, the goal is always the same: clarity, dignity, and a real conversation.
